The inspiration for La Châsse

The birth of a new range

Birth of La Châsse

In 1994, the first “La Châsse” wine was born. Building on our history and experience, we set out to create an exceptional Côté du Rhône.

We built this blend with meticulous work and in-depth expertise in identifying terroirs and combining soils and grape varieties. This precise approach has become the common thread running through our entire range.

In 2023, by choosing the Pavillon St Pierre in Chateauneuf du Pape as our sanctuary, it became the setting for our “La Châsse” cuvées, in the image of the papal vault.

The Pavilion Saint-Pierre

Construction of the Pavilion began in the late 19th century. A family of coopers developed their business here, before forming partnerships with Châteauneuf winemakers to work on maturing their wines.
The Pavillion is located on Avenue Pierre de Luxembourg, an emblematic site in the history of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
As the story goes, Pierre de Luxembourg, who became a cardinal in 1386, is said to have seen Christ appear during a visit to Châteauneuf-du-Pape; in memory of this extraordinary apparition, the area was named “Quartier Saint-Pierre”. Since then, Saint-Pierre has been the village's patron saint, honored every July 5.
