An exciting new Sparkling Wine from the UK's favourite premium French wine brand. Created from 100% Chardonnay grapes using the “Méthode Traditionnelle” involving a second fermentation once the wine is in bottle, it is a great alternative to champagne.
The Chardonnay grapes are picked earlier than usual when sugar levels are lower and acid levels higher. The juice is pressed off quickly and is vinified at 16-18C to develop optimum fruit flavours and preserve freshness. This sparkling wine is made by the “Méthode Traditionnelle” involving a second fermentation once the wine is in bottle. The gas from this fermentation mixes with the wine, resulting in fine bubbles. La Châsse Blanc de Blancs is aged on its lees for a minimum of 9 months in order to develop its defined, but delicate aromas.
Pale gold colour with a lively stream of fine bubbles. There are floral aromas with notes of quince and almond. The wine tastes very fresh and well balanced with a long toasty finish. It is a fabulous aperitif for many occasions or could be enjoyed with light desserts.
